As you may already know, when you set up a certain app on your Android device the app needs some of your personal information. Some applications might be dangerous while others are secure. Well, appropriate in the dangerous category is one of the most used applications worldwide, namely the Facebook app for Android OS. No one be familiar with this app and also doesn’t know why this app is doing this and for whom, but it seems that Facebook for Android is getting people’s phone number right from when they firstly open it.
Symantec went to Facebook with the issue, who said that they did not have any information of the issue. Facebook included that the contact numbers have not been used in any way and have been removed from their data source. Furthermore, Symantec contributes that there are many other applications that are doing this or even more intense, not just Facebook.
