Android Dominating the Mobile Market


Android market



The wars for mobile platforms continue to make news in the technical market. There are analysts, critics and industry players who present their reports or opinions which often keep on shifting in favor of one platform or the other. But the clearer picture of the shift in the market trends is better predicted by the facts and figures.
The firm Lookout presented its analysis for the App Genome Project and the analysis reveals that as compared to iOS platform growth of Android application development is more. The report undertakes to study the experience of the users at US only.
As per the project estimates, the reports came up with a higher figure for applications available in the Android market. The increase in number of Android applications being developed was witnessed that approximately grew to 127 percent surpassing Apple App store that showed a growth rate of 44 percent.
If with the same speed Android continues to grow, there is possibility that it would have more apps than Apple App store. There is simply no doubt about that  Apple App Store still has more applications available but as looked upon the growth rate of Android applications, the growth rate is three times that of Apple. Therefore this accelerating growth could pose to be a threat for Apple in the near future.
