Google is well known worldwide for search as well as for its advertising program. But over the past couple of years the phone software of the company, Android, has been making waves in market stores across the world. This phone software is flexible enough to get easily modified and updated by the handset manufacturers and also bear the power to take on Apple’s iPhone, Android has very well carved itself as a growing niche in smartphones. Now Google has successfully turned  its attention to tablets, and it’s using Android 3.0 Honeycomb to perform this. Earlier Apple had a head start in this thriving new market, but now Android 3.0 Honeycomb is here. Truly providing something that make us realizes the specialty that’s required in order to have an encompassing experience.
For a new user it could be somewhat so foreign at first, but its visual presentation plays a crucial role in giving it that most substantial and iterative look and feel. One of Honeycomb’s main advantages lies in its flexibility. Honeycomb has been provided with some most exciting features. Here are some features listed below:
1. Soft navigation with buttons - Google has eliminated the Search button and the Home, Menu and Back buttons have been moved onto the screen itself. These resides at the lower left of the unit and well capable to minimize themselves down to a few pixels thick when certain apps are found running.These look look nice when the OS ships.
2. System Bar - The soft navigation buttons are on the left side of the new System Bar, in previous Android versions, it was to the  top and now has moved to the bottom of the screen. This displays the status notifications and status updates. Notifications has also been improved, allowing more pictures and more real-time information to be shared without having to open the app.
3. Action Bar – The Action Bar is an app-specific bar along the top of the screen displaying context-sensitive options. When no app is opened it vanishes.
4. Home screens Android 3.0 by default has five customizable home screens or desktops. Differently sized shortcuts and widgets could be added to to this screen with changed background. Honeycomb has a new visual layout mode making it further convenient for you to add pages and drop shadows.
5. Revised keyboard -  Its keyboard has been redesigned to better fit larger screened tablets. A new key ‘Tab’ has been added by the Google. One can also touch-hold the keys to have special characters. USB keyboard also could be added to Android 3.0 devices.
6. Bluetooth tethering - Android 3.0 looks much prettier and also possess some new data features such as Bluetooth tethering. As per the carrier allowance, users are able to share their mobile Internet connection with devices over the Bluetooth.
7. 3D graphics support -  Developers now can build 3D effects in apps, carousels, wallpapers,  some prettier animations and user interfaces (UI) etc.
