The previously released version of Android 4.1, “Jelly Bean”, was just an incremental bump over the major 4.0 release i.e “Ice Cream Sandwich”. But that little bump brought up a big difference. Android somehow became more or less fully realized with Ice Cream Sandwich, but a level of polish is brought up by Jelly Bean. Android 4.2 carries the same “Jelly Bean” code-name as 4.1.
One of the finest improvement for the end-user experience was ‘Project Butter’, the name given to the group as per its adjustments capability vastly influencing the Android’s responsiveness to touch input. Whenever the screen is touched this introduced a triple buffered graphic rendering with maximizing the the CPU’s clock speed.Also some other architectural improvements were introduced. The overall performance was much more consistent in Jelly Bean. Much better smoothness is brought up by Jelly Bean to the older hardware like first-generation Kindle Fire and Motorola Xoom. Using an Android lastly felt as good as using iOS or Windows Phone.
Just after four months Android 4.1, the mobile operating system got an another incremental bump. However not much drastic changes were brought up to the operating system, it introduces sufficient new features to keep the Android a salubrious contender in the cunning smartphone and tablet markets.
Android 4.2′s one of the biggest innovation is multiuser support on the tablets. These devices are good to be shared among the family members. With Android 4.2, different users could configure up their own home screens with various apps, backgrounds and widgets. Finally, there is yet another option to let children for playing games on the tablet without accidentally clearing up all of the work e-mail.
