Android 4.0



Ingenious, Scrumptious and Utilitarian
The latest version of the Android platform for phones, tablets is  Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It bears with it the things that people love the most about Android — classic notifications, foolproof multitasking, customizable home screens, re sizable widgets, and better interactivity with newer ways of communicating and sharing.

The lock screens enables the users perform more without unlocking. Direct jump could be made from the slide lock screen, to the camera for a picture or to view the notifications window for messages. While listening to music, users can view album art and can even manage music tracks.
Easy Swipe to dismiss tasks, notifications and browser tabs
Android 4.0 makes managing notifications, recent apps, and browser tabs even easier. Users can dismiss the individual notifications and browser tabs with a simple swipe by a finger.
Powerful voice input engine
Android 4.0 provides a powerful new voice input engine that offers a continuous “open microphone” experience and streaming voice recognition. Users now can dictate the text they want that too for as long as they want, using the language they want.
Control over network data
Android 4.0 has added new controls for managing network data usage. In the Settings app, colorful charts depicts the total data usage on each network type whether it is mobile or Wi-Fi. Warning levels or hard limits on data usage could be set by the users. Users can also manage the background data used by individual applications as needed.

Accessibility experience
New features have greatly scaled the accessibility of Android 4.0 for blind or visually impaired users. The newest here is the explore-by-touch mode enabling users to navigate without any need to look up at the screen. The Browser is supported by script-based screen reader for reading the useful web content.
A simple touch gesture during setup activates all accessibility features. With accessibility set as active, everything visible on the screen is exhibited by the standard screen reader.
Redesigned Gallery app with photo editor
With Gallery app it easier to show , share and manage photos and videos. The redesigned album layout shows too many albums and offers larger thumbnails. Albums could be sorted in many ways including time, location, people, and tags. To help pictures look their best, the Gallery also holds a powerful photo editor to help pictures look the best. Images could be cropped and rotated well, also it is easy to remove red eyes and add exciting effects. The widget can display pictures from a selected album, with a shuffle from other albums, or can show a single image.
