Windows 8 Still Not Operational for Tablets

In this world of technology, we are attached with all the modern accessories. These accessories are well equipped with all the modern apps. Microsoft has made the evaluation with the invention of Windows 8. Primarily this technology has become famous for using in personal computers and laptops. Then various well renowned mobile companies started using Windows 8 in almost all the smart phones. What turns out to be the most disgraceful moment for Windows, the brand that promised high performance in terms of desktop performance, users have still not been able to adopt its latest offering Windows 8 in their tablets? In spite of high market expectations from this latest version of Windows OS, the performance of Widows 8 has not just been poor, but it has also gone below established failures like Vista, in metrics related to adoption numbers and desktop market share. Microsoft achieved almost a market share of 2.01 percent in the month of August in the year 2013 and suddenly it lost its market share 0.87 percent in the month of November 2013.
You must be thinking that whether Windows 8 is a winner or it is a failure? The brand claimed high desktop, mobile, and market performance when it launched Windows 8. However, facts state differently. Almost a year old now, Windows 8 is gradually falling below average in terms of user satisfaction. Let’s start with the basics. When compared to Windows Vista, Windows 8 has lower market desktop share and the adoption numbers are definitely disastrous. And now tablet users cannot find a Windows 8 update to improve their browsing experience. In a way, that is a lot better than having an interface that already looks hopeless over the desktop.

Nokia Shifting In The Hands Of Microsoft

Nokia Shifting In The Hands Of Microsoft

Nokia may have sold its handset commerce to Microsoft but by lynching on to its precious patent assortment, the Finnish group can try to boost up royalties by sewing Android phone makers, or discharge the patents in a future deal. Nokia, once the world’s leading handset maker, has botched to slam a vast lead opened up by Apple and Samsung in the vastly competitive marketplace for smart phones. It will now focus on its networking equipment unit along with navigation business and technology patents.
On Tuesday, Microsoft agreed to compensate 3.79 billion Euros ($5 billion) for Nokia’s handset business, and an added 1.65 billion Euros for a 10-year license to Nokia’s patents, well thought-out with some of the highest-quality patents in the mobile space.
Nokia has long been a confidence player & iconic brand in the cerebral property market. It sued Apple in 2009 and then reached a licensing agreement with the iPhone producer. The conditions were not disclosed but the contract was believed to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars to Nokia.
For Microsoft, captivating a license to Nokia’s patents – but not buying them – serves a tactical aim as well. Microsoft has already swayed about 20 Android manufacturers to pay patent royalties, part of Microsoft’s stab to raise the outlay of Google’s mobile operating system.
Now, Nokia residues free to go after those Android manufacturers for royalties as well.
Nokia representatives were not immediately available for additional comment.

Microsoft Office Comes To Android Smartphones But Not For Tablets

Microsoft Office Comes To Android Smartphones But Not For Tablets

Microsoft Company is providing a pared-down edition of its Office software to Android operating mobile phones, but it won’t work on Android tablets just as it doesn’t on iPads. Microsoft’s Android operating system program looks fairly much similar to the iPhone one, with contemporary fresh graphics. It delivers an enhanced edition of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and allows you to make records and stylesheets.
The software will be available starting Wednesday. It requires a $100-a-year registration to Workplace and won’t be sold independently. The new offering follows the discharge of an iPhone edition in July and brings an official app to mobile phones working the most widely used os on mobile phones. Microsoft Corp is trying to make its Office 365 registration more powerful, without eliminating an advantage that tablets running Microsoft’s Windows program now have _ the ability to run popular Workplace programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
