This is not the first time we are coming across the
existence of an HTC M8 device. This past summer, initial rumours about
HTC working on an M8 prototype surfaced from Pocket-lint. A couple of
months back, there were rumors circulating in the tech world that HTC is
planning its new flagship under the codename M8.
UK patent judge Richard Arnold revealed that HTC will
release its next-generation flagship Smartphone in February or March
2014, as a follow-up to the HTC One released in 2013. What does the name
stand for though? It follows a sequential numbering system from the M7,
the codename for the HTC One. Let’s also make it clear that M8 is
merely an internal codename. The actual device will have a different
name once it hits the market. Could it be the HTC Two?
While still very much unconfirmed for now, this list of purported HTC M8
specs looks like one that could very easily belong to a flagship
Smartphone in early 2014. Large Smartphone are pretty popular in the
Android world right now, so a slight screen size bump up to 5 inches
isn’t a shock, and the bump up to a Snapdragon 800 processor also makes
sense now that every other high-end Android device is packing the same
chip.
