Will Microsoft loose it dominance in the desktop market


Will Microsoft’s dominance in the desktop market fade away? Who will replace it? These questions will soon be asked by the users of PC’s. And there is every reason for that. If sources are to be believed then sooner or later Intel will start introducing its own Bay Trail tablets. You can convert them easily into Notebooks by just spending around $200. If that happens, no doubt MicrosoftWindows will hardly be in a position to   compete with devices that are at such a price point.
Android is believed to overtake it as its free or at least cheap after taking into consideration the patent fee, and it is also being used by all kinds of OEMs. With Intel Bay Trail processors on the way, things are looking very rosy in Androidland.
There is certainly no doubt that it things go as they are going now then a time will come when Microsoft’s will lose its dominance in the desktop market. Android powered devices can contribute in the disappearance of Microsoft Windows from your PC. OEMs are starting to make Android computers and it is likely that we are going to see manufacturers like Lenovo, Acer, Toshiba and Asus come out with their own tablets and convertible notebook running Android this year.
